Kyra Minturn

 Kyraminturn Sedgwick was born on August 19, 1965. She is an American actress and producer. Her most prominent role is that of the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime series The Closer. Sedgwick was awarded the Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. Following the seventh season Sedgwick won the Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in the year 2010. The series ended on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her role in the role of Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick got an Golden Globe nomination for her role as Madeline Wuntch on Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other roles include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's singles (1992) The Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996) as well as What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was an New York City native, the daughter Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald) who was an educator and therapist for families and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI who was a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was Episcopalian and of English descent. Sedgwick has announced that she's Jewish and is a part of Passover meals.
